The CCSC Coaching Staff One of the strengths of the Cape Cod Swim Club is its coaching staff which has had tremendous continuity. Head Coach Marc Solomon has been with the CCSC since its beginning in 1978. Coach Cholace Lussier has been with the club since 1981. Coach Ron Zuwallack, a CCSC swimmer himself during the 1980s, has been coaching with the club since 1992. Coach Adrienne Fontes started with the CCSC at age 10 as a swimmer. She is a graduate of Assumption College Coach Bill Tyler has been coaching with the CCSC since 1997. Coach Kathy Lynch has been coaching with the CCSC since 1999. Meg Murphy joined our staff in 2005.  Meg was an Olympic Trials qualifier in 1980 and swam out of the Univ. of Georgia. Meg has a daughter in the X Group and has been assisting both Coach Kathy in the Silver Group and Coach Ron in the X Group. Dave Sutherland swam out of the Univ. of North Carolina.  He is a graduate student at Woods Hole Oceanography Institute and assists Coach Ron with the Gold Group. Mary Nielsen has been involved in aquatics for over 25 years and is a special education teacher in Wareham.  She has run several pools and has many years of experience as an aquatics director, teacher, and Coach. Mary assists in our Learn-to-swim program.   Martha Peterson has over 30 years of experience teaching aquatics and Coaching.  Martha assists in our Learn-to-swim program and in our Silver Group competitive program.  Martha, now working in Woods Hole, has been a YMCA Aquatics Director for many years and is a Masters" Swimmer herself. Head Coach Marc Solomon has 30 years of coaching experience and has been the head coach of the Cape Cod Swim Club since 1978. He has helped numerous Cape kids become top swimmers in New England and swim on to the Junior and Senior National level. Coach Marc is a graduate of Johns Hopkins and the Suffolk Law School. Cholace Lussier is an invaluable resource for the CCSC. She helps the club at all of its levels from Learn-To-Swim to the National Group to the Masters Group. Cholace has been coaching with the club since 1983. Kathy Lynch coaches the CCSC Silver groups at both the MMA and Sandwich locations. She also coaches the Sandwich X-Group. Kathy taught swimming through high school and college and has been coaching with the CCSC for four years. She is a graduate of UMass Amherst with a degree in microbiology. Ron Zuwallack joined the CCSC in 1983 as a swimmer and by 1990 was a Senior National Qualifier. Now in his tenth year coaching for the team, Ron coaches the X-Group, the Gold Group and the Masters group. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina where he swam four years. Bill Tyler heads our Brewster Group. Coach Tyler recently retired as the Deerfield Academy Girls' Varsity swim coach and became a year-round Cape resident. Coach Tyler also runs the Dennis Aquatic School during the summer. A 1952 graduate of Tufts University, he was Captain of the Varsity squad.  Adrienne Fontes started with the CCSC at age 10 as a swimmer. She is a grade school teacher and graduate of Assumption College.
